Growing Up Wild Fall 2020
Growing Up Wild is an early outdoor childhood education program that builds on a child’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, the program provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills. Parents will accompany their children each class as the program explores and unearths the nature of West Texas. The program is for children ages 3 - 5 yrs, and each class will follow the same structure emphasizing discovery, learning, nature walks, and craft. The Jenna Welch Nature Study Center’s educational programs are provided at no cost to its participants, made possible by donors like you.
Attendance at every class is expected of parent and child. If you are unable to attend a scheduled GUW class please contact us in advance. Class sizes are limited and if you do not text/email or call (no call-no show), you will be placed at the end of the waiting list for future re-enrollment into the class. Please note, children are not allowed to stay in the class unaccompanied.
Parents will receive handouts each lesson including; songs, books, and activities that will reinforce new concepts. All home connections will be shared through email.
