Social Media Intern
Role Description
The I-20 Wildlife Preserve is a non-profit organization that focuses on conservation, education, and recreation. We are currently seeking a part-time intern to assist with the management of social media accounts and marketing platforms. The social media intern will work closely with the director to create and distribute content, assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns, track audience engagement and collaborate with the director to update strategies to meet KPIs. The intern should have a passion for content creation, a talent for creative strategy, and an interest in wildlife conservation and outdoor recreation.
Responsibilities can include:
-Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns (including the upcoming campaign to promote PBS documentary)
-Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media
-Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
-Support team at live and online events
Desired Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate in digital communications or a related field such as advertising, journalism, or graphic design
-Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Interest in social media trends
-Copywriting and editing skills
-Ability to work under tight deadlines
-Interest in wildlife conservation and outdoor recreation
