π³ Tree-ific Trees | Ecology | March 7th
Trees are essential for wildlife, providing food, shelter, and even water through their ecosystems. From towering cottonwoods to hardy mesquites, each tree plays a role in supporting West Texas animals. In this session, weβll explore how different species rely on trees and why protecting them is vital for a healthy habitat.
This season of Playtime at The Playa is all about cycles in natureβthe patterns, rhythms, and systems that keep our environment thriving. From the life cycle of trees and flowers to the way animals adapt through the seasons, weβll uncover the hidden connections that shape our world.
Each session will highlight a different cycle, whether itβs the water cycle nourishing plants, the food chain transferring energy, or the rock cycle shaping the land beneath us. By exploring these natural processes, young learners will gain a deeper understanding of how everything in nature is interconnected. By the end of the season, families will leave with cherished memories, practical sustainability skills, and a deeper appreciation for the ecosystems around them.
